There are some weddings that feel less like an event and more like a warm breeze — soft, joyful, and illuminated with the kind of light that turns every moment into a memory.

Kate and Drew’s summer wedding in Highland, Utah was exactly that: a day woven with family, playful joy, elegant details, and the kind of golden light every photographer dreams of.

A Midday Sealing at the Draper Temple
The Draper Utah Temple glowed beneath a warm, sunlit sky as Kate and Drew stepped out hand in hand — surrounded by a truly enormous circle of loved ones. Their families wrapped around them like a soft embrace, filling the temple grounds with laughter, cheers, and the kind of energy that feels both celebratory and deeply rooted.
The couple’s palette of soft pink and sage green created a romantic harmony against the temple’s white stone. Kate, with her gorgeous dark curly hair, looked effortlessly elegant beside Drew’s full red hair — a pairing that made every frame feel artistically balanced and quietly striking.
Before joining their families, we slipped into a private 30-minute bridal session on the temple grounds. In the gentle midday shimmer, they moved with an ease that made each moment feel natural and luminous. It was calm, sweet, and intentional — a quiet breath before the celebration began.

Salt & Sand: An Epic Bridal Session at Little Sahara
A few days before the wedding, we explored the windswept dunes of Little Sahara for a bridal session that felt like something out of a modern romance film.
Kate wore a short-sleeve fit-and-flare dress — simple, sculptural, and perfect for the sweeping movement of the sand. Drew’s grey-green suit mirrored the desert tones beautifully.
The wind danced around them, pulling her dress into soft arcs of movement as the sun melted into purple-pink hues that echoed their wedding colors.
As the last rays slipped below the dunes, everything turned golden — the kind of glowing, cinematic light that becomes a signature in my work. These were the images where grace met the light in its purest form.

A Highland Reception Filled With Quiet Luxury
Their reception took place at a large, modern red-brick home in Highland, with a gazebo at its center where Kate and Drew welcomed each guest. The grounds felt serene and beautifully curated — the kind of space where every detail whispered intentionality.
The design was a charming blend of garden–party luxury and warm, modern elegance:
- Tan planters overflowing with succulents
- Light pink vases and framed photos adorning each space
- White linen tablecloths paired with wooden chairs
- Soft greens and blush tones woven subtly into the décor
As the sun began its descent, golden hour draped the entire reception in a warm, luminous glow. It was the perfect setting for refined, heartfelt images — the kind that feel timeless and gentle.
